Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Chelsea Carrera collects, why we collect it and how we look after it. We keep it simple because we only collect what we need to look after you and your car.

Who we are

What we collect

When you phone, email or visit us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address and postal address, details of your vehicle (registration, model, mileage and history), and records of the work we carry out and the invoices we issue.

When you visit our website, and only if you agree to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived and the type of device you use. It doesn’t tell us who you are.

We don’t use contact forms on this website.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiries, book in and carry out work on your car, arrange collection and delivery, keep service records, issue invoices and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We use website analytics to improve the site.

Our legal basis

We process your information to carry out work you’ve asked us to do (contract), to keep proper business and service records (legal obligation and legitimate interests), and, for website analytics, because you’ve given consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie settings on the site.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information. We share it only where necessary: with our website host and analytics provider (Google), with accountants or professional advisers, and where the law requires it. Google may process analytics data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep service and invoice records for as long as they’re needed for your car’s history and to meet legal requirements for business records. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account [CONFIRM: retention setting, e.g. 14 months].

Cookies

The website uses a cookie to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us using the details above.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
